Divine Quran

Qur'an (Quran, Koran, coran, or Alcoran) is the central religious text of Islam / Islaam. Muslims believe the Quran to be the book of divine guidance and direction for mankind. The Qur’an consists of 114 chapters of varying lengths, each known as a sura. Chapters are classed as Meccan or Medinan, depending on where the verses were revealed. Muslims believe that Muhammed, on God's command, gave the chapters their names. Each sura is formed from several ayat (verses), which originally means a sign or portent sent by God. The number of ayat differ from sura to sura. An individual ayah may be just a few letters or several lines.

The Qur'an is a Message from Allah to humanity. Islam / Islaam belives that the koran was revealed to Muhammed by the angel Jibril (Gabriel) over a period of 23 years(610 CE to 632 CE). Prophet Muhammad (saas) was the final Messenger of Allah to humanity, and therefore the Qur'an is the last Message which Allah has sent to us. The Koran has been translated into english, most African, Asian and European languages, but the original message was Arabic. The Qur’an is also spelled as koran, Alcoran, coran or Al-Qur’an.
