As-Saaffat [Those who set the ranks ]
| | 37:1 | وَالصَّافَّاتِ صَفًّا
| | | Waalssaffati saffan
| | By those who range themselves in ranks
|
| | 37:2 | فَالزَّاجِرَاتِ زَجْرًا
| | | Faalzzajirati zajran
| | And so are strong in repelling (evil)
|
| | 37:3 | فَالتَّالِيَاتِ ذِكْرًا
| | | Faalttaliyati thikran
| | And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah)
|
| | 37:4 | إِنَّ إِلَهَكُمْ لَوَاحِدٌ
| | | Inna ilahakum lawahidun
| | Verily, verily, your Allah is one!
|
| | 37:5 | رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ الْمَشَارِقِ
| | | Rabbu alssamawati waal-ardi wama baynahuma warabbu almashariqi
| | Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun
|
| | 37:6 | إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا السَّمَاءَ الدُّنْيَا بِزِينَةٍ الْكَوَاكِبِ
| | | Inna zayyanna alssamaa alddunya bizeenatin alkawakibi
| | We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars,
|
| | 37:7 | وَحِفْظًا مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ مَارِدٍ
| | | Wahifthan min kulli shaytanin maridin
| | (For beauty) and for guard against all obstinate rebellious evil spirits
|
| | 37:8 | لا يَسَّمَّعُونَ إِلَى الْمَلإ الأعْلَى وَيُقْذَفُونَ مِنْ كُلِّ جَانِبٍ
| | | La yassammaAAoona ila almala-i al-aAAla wayuqthafoona min kulli janibin
| | (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side
|
| | 37:9 | دُحُورًا وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ وَاصِبٌ
| | | Duhooran walahum AAathabun wasibun
| | Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty
|
| | 37:10 | إِلا مَنْ خَطِفَ الْخَطْفَةَ فَأَتْبَعَهُ شِهَابٌ ثَاقِبٌ
| | | Illa man khatifa alkhatfata faatbaAAahu shihabun thaqibun
| | Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness
|
| | 37:11 | فَاسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَهُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَمْ مَنْ خَلَقْنَا إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُمْ مِنْ طِينٍ لازِبٍ
| | | Faistaftihim ahum ashaddu khalqan am man khalaqna inna khalaqnahum min teenin lazibin
| | Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay
|
| | 37:12 | بَلْ عَجِبْتَ وَيَسْخَرُونَ
| | | Bal AAajibta wayaskharoona
| | Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule
|
| | 37:13 | وَإِذَا ذُكِّرُوا لا يَذْكُرُونَ
| | | Wa-itha thukkiroo la yathkuroona
| | And, when they are admonished, pay no heed,
|
| | 37:14 | وَإِذَا رَأَوْا آيَةً يَسْتَسْخِرُونَ
| | | Wa-itha raaw ayatan yastaskhiroona
| | And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery
|
| | 37:15 | وَقَالُوا إِنْ هَذَا إِلا سِحْرٌ مُبِينٌ
| | | Waqaloo in hatha illa sihrun mubeenun
| | And say, "This is nothing but evident sorcery
|
| | 37:16 | أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَئِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ
| | | A-itha mitna wakunna turaban waAAithaman a-inna lamabAAoothoona
| | "What! when we die, and become dust and bones, shall we (then) be raised up (again
|
| | 37:17 | أَوَآبَاؤُنَا الأوَّلُونَ
| | | Awa abaona al-awwaloona
| | "And also our fathers of old?"
|
| | 37:18 | قُلْ نَعَمْ وَأَنْتُمْ دَاخِرُونَ
| | | Qul naAAam waantum dakhiroona
| | Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)."
|
| | 37:19 | فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجْرَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ فَإِذَا هُمْ يَنْظُرُونَ
| | | Fa-innama hiya zajratun wahidatun fa-itha hum yanthuroona
| | Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see
|
| | 37:20 | وَقَالُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا هَذَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ
| | | Waqaloo ya waylana hatha yawmu alddeeni
| | They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!"
|
| | 37:21 | هَذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ الَّذِي كُنْتُمْ بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ
| | | Hatha yawmu alfasli allathee kuntum bihi tukaththiboona
| | (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!"
|
| | 37:22 | احْشُرُوا الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا وَأَزْوَاجَهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا يَعْبُدُونَ
| | | Ohshuroo allatheena thalamoo waazwajahum wama kanoo yaAAbudoona
| | "Bring ye up", it shall be said, "The wrong-doers and their wives, and the things they worshipped
|
| | 37:23 | مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ فَاهْدُوهُمْ إِلَى صِرَاطِ الْجَحِيمِ
| | | Min dooni Allahi faihdoohum ila sirati aljaheemi
| | "Besides Allah, and lead them to the Way to the (Fierce) Fire
|
| | 37:24 | وَقِفُوهُمْ إِنَّهُمْ مَسْئُولُونَ
| | | Waqifoohum innahum masooloona
| | "But stop them, for they must be asked
|
| | 37:25 | مَا لَكُمْ لا تَنَاصَرُونَ
| | | Ma lakum la tanasaroona
| | "'What is the matter with you that ye help not each other?'"
|
| | 37:26 | بَلْ هُمُ الْيَوْمَ مُسْتَسْلِمُونَ
| | | Bal humu alyawma mustaslimoona
| | Nay, but that day they shall submit (to Judgment)
|
| | 37:27 | وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ
| | | Waaqbala baAAduhum AAala baAAdin yatasaaloona
| | And they will turn to one another, and question one another
|
| | 37:28 | قَالُوا إِنَّكُمْ كُنْتُمْ تَأْتُونَنَا عَنِ الْيَمِينِ
| | | Qaloo innakum kuntum ta/toonana AAani alyameeni
| | They will say: "It was ye who used to come to us from the right hand (of power and authority)!"
|
| | 37:29 | قَالُوا بَلْ لَمْ تَكُونُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ
| | | Qaloo bal lam takoonoo mu/mineena
| | They will reply: "Nay, ye yourselves had no Faith
|
| | 37:30 | وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ سُلْطَانٍ بَلْ كُنْتُمْ قَوْمًا طَاغِينَ
| | | Wama kana lana AAalaykum min sultanin bal kuntum qawman tagheena
| | "Nor had we any authority over you. Nay, it was ye who were a people in obstinate rebellion
|
| | 37:31 | فَحَقَّ عَلَيْنَا قَوْلُ رَبِّنَا إِنَّا لَذَائِقُونَ
| | | Fahaqqa AAalayna qawlu rabbina inna latha-iqoona
| | "So now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins)
|
| | 37:32 | فَأَغْوَيْنَاكُمْ إِنَّا كُنَّا غَاوِينَ
| | | Faaghwaynakum inna kunna ghaweena
| | "We led you astray: for truly we were ourselves astray."
|
| | 37:33 | فَإِنَّهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ فِي الْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ
| | | Fa-innahum yawma-ithin fee alAAathabi mushtarikoona
| | Truly, that Day, they will (all) share in the Penalty
|
| | 37:34 | إِنَّا كَذَلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِينَ
| | | Inna kathalika nafAAalu bialmujrimeena
| | Verily that is how We shall deal with Sinners
|
| | 37:35 | إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
| | | Innahum kanoo itha qeela lahum la ilaha illa Allahu yastakbiroona
| | For they, when they were told that there is no god except Allah, would puff themselves up with Pride
|
| | 37:36 | وَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَتَارِكُو آلِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِرٍ مَجْنُونٍ
| | | Wayaqooloona a-inna latarikoo alihatina lishaAAirin majnoonin
| | And say: "What! shall we give up our gods for the sake of a Poet possessed?"
|
| | 37:37 | بَلْ جَاءَ بِالْحَقِّ وَصَدَّقَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
| | | Bal jaa bialhaqqi wasaddaqa almursaleena
| | Nay! he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the messengers (before him)
|
| | 37:38 | إِنَّكُمْ لَذَائِقُو الْعَذَابِ الألِيمِ
| | | Innakum latha-iqoo alAAathabi al-aleemi
| | Ye shall indeed taste of the Grievous Penalty;
|
| | 37:39 | وَمَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلا مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
| | | Wama tujzawna illa ma kuntum taAAmaloona
| | But it will be no more than the retribution of (the Evil) that ye have wrought;
|
| | 37:40 | إِلا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
| | | Illa AAibada Allahi almukhlaseena
| | But the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah,
|
| | 37:41 | أُولَئِكَ لَهُمْ رِزْقٌ مَعْلُومٌ
| | | Ola-ika lahum rizqun maAAloomun
| | For them is a Sustenance determined
|
| | 37:42 | فَوَاكِهُ وَهُمْ مُكْرَمُونَ
| | | Fawakihu wahum mukramoona
| | Fruits (Delights); and they (shall enjoy) honour and dignity
|
| | 37:43 | فِي جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ
| | | Fee jannati alnnaAAeemi
| | In Gardens of Felicity
|
| | 37:44 | عَلَى سُرُرٍ مُتَقَابِلِينَ
| | | AAala sururin mutaqabileena
| | Facing each other on Thrones (of Dignity)
|
| | 37:45 | يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِمْ بِكَأْسٍ مِنْ مَعِينٍ
| | | Yutafu AAalayhim bika/sin min maAAeenin
| | Round will be passed to them a Cup from a clear-flowing fountain
|
| | 37:46 | بَيْضَاءَ لَذَّةٍ لِلشَّارِبِينَ
| | | Baydaa laththatin lilshsharibeena
| | Crystal-white, of a taste delicious to those who drink (thereof)
|
| | 37:47 | لا فِيهَا غَوْلٌ وَلا هُمْ عَنْهَا يُنْزَفُونَ
| | | La feeha ghawlun wala hum AAanha yunzafoona
| | Free from headiness; nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom
|
| | 37:48 | وَعِنْدَهُمْ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ عِينٌ
| | | WaAAindahum qasiratu alttarfi AAeenun
| | And besides them will be chaste women, restraining their glances, with big eyes (of wonder and beauty)
|
| | 37:49 | كَأَنَّهُنَّ بَيْضٌ مَكْنُونٌ
| | | Kaannahunna baydun maknoonun
| | As if they were (delicate) eggs closely guarded
|
| | 37:50 | فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ
| | | Faaqbala baAAduhum AAala baAAdin yatasaaloona
| | Then they will turn to one another and question one another
|
| | 37:51 | قَالَ قَائِلٌ مِنْهُمْ إِنِّي كَانَ لِي قَرِينٌ
| | | Qala qa-ilun minhum innee kana lee qareenun
| | One of them will start the talk and say: "I had an intimate companion (on the earth)
|
| | 37:52 | يَقُولُ أَئِنَّكَ لَمِنَ الْمُصَدِّقِينَ
| | | Yaqoolu a-innaka lamina almusaddiqeena
| | "Who used to say, 'what! art thou amongst those who bear witness to the Truth (of the Message)
|
| | 37:53 | أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَئِنَّا لَمَدِينُونَ
| | | A-itha mitna wakunna turaban waAAithaman a-inna lamadeenoona
| | "'When we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed receive rewards and punishments?'"
|
| | 37:54 | قَالَ هَلْ أَنْتُمْ مُطَّلِعُونَ
| | | Qala hal antum muttaliAAoona
| | (A voice) said: "Would ye like to look down?"
|
| | 37:55 | فَاطَّلَعَ فَرَآهُ فِي سَوَاءِ الْجَحِيمِ
| | | FaittalaAAa faraahu fee sawa-i aljaheemi
| | He looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire
|
| | 37:56 | قَالَ تَاللَّهِ إِنْ كِدْتَ لَتُرْدِينِ
| | | Qala taAllahi in kidta laturdeeni
| | He said: "By Allah! thou wast little short of bringing me to perdition
|
| | 37:57 | وَلَوْلا نِعْمَةُ رَبِّي لَكُنْتُ مِنَ الْمُحْضَرِينَ
| | | Walawla niAAmatu rabbee lakuntu mina almuhdareena
| | "Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I should certainly have been among those brought (there)
|
| | 37:58 | أَفَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَيِّتِينَ
| | | Afama nahnu bimayyiteena
| | "Is it (the case) that we shall not die
|
| | 37:59 | إِلا مَوْتَتَنَا الأولَى وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ
| | | Illa mawtatana al-oola wama nahnu bimuAAaththabeena
| | "Except our first death, and that we shall not be punished?"
|
| | 37:60 | إِنَّ هَذَا لَهُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ
| | | Inna hatha lahuwa alfawzu alAAatheemu
| | Verily this is the supreme achievement
|
| | 37:61 | لِمِثْلِ هَذَا فَلْيَعْمَلِ الْعَامِلُونَ
| | | Limithli hatha falyaAAmali alAAamiloona
| | For the like of this let all strive, who wish to strive
|
| | 37:62 | أَذَلِكَ خَيْرٌ نُزُلا أَمْ شَجَرَةُ الزَّقُّومِ
| | | Athalika khayrun nuzulan am shajaratu alzzaqqoomi
| | Is that the better entertainment or the Tree of Zaqqum
|
| | 37:63 | إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاهَا فِتْنَةً لِلظَّالِمِينَ
| | | Inna jaAAalnaha fitnatan lilththalimeena
| | For We have truly made it (as) a trial for the wrong-doers
|
| | 37:64 | إِنَّهَا شَجَرَةٌ تَخْرُجُ فِي أَصْلِ الْجَحِيمِ
| | | Innaha shajaratun takhruju fee asli aljaheemi
| | For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-Fire
|
| | 37:65 | طَلْعُهَا كَأَنَّهُ رُءُوسُ الشَّيَاطِينِ
| | | TalAAuha kaannahu ruoosu alshshayateeni
| | The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of devils
|
| | 37:66 | فَإِنَّهُمْ لآكِلُونَ مِنْهَا فَمَالِئُونَ مِنْهَا الْبُطُونَ
| | | Fa-innahum laakiloona minha famali-oona minha albutoona
| | Truly they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith
|
| | 37:67 | ثُمَّ إِنَّ لَهُمْ عَلَيْهَا لَشَوْبًا مِنْ حَمِيمٍ
| | | Thumma inna lahum AAalayha lashawban min hameemin
| | Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water
|
| | 37:68 | ثُمَّ إِنَّ مَرْجِعَهُمْ لإلَى الْجَحِيمِ
| | | Thumma inna marjiAAahum la-ila aljaheemi
| | Then shall their return be to the (Blazing) Fire
|
| | 37:69 | إِنَّهُمْ أَلْفَوْا آبَاءَهُمْ ضَالِّينَ
| | | Innahum alfaw abaahum dalleena
| | Truly they found their fathers on the wrong Path
|
| | 37:70 | فَهُمْ عَلَى آثَارِهِمْ يُهْرَعُونَ
| | | Fahum AAala atharihim yuhraAAoona
| | So they (too) were rushed down on their footsteps
|
| | 37:71 | وَلَقَدْ ضَلَّ قَبْلَهُمْ أَكْثَرُ الأوَّلِينَ
| | | Walaqad dalla qablahum aktharu al-awwaleena
| | And truly before them, many of the ancients went astray;
|
| | 37:72 | وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِمْ مُنْذِرِينَ
| | | Walaqad arsalna feehim munthireena
| | But We sent aforetime, among them, (messengers) to admonish them;
|
| | 37:73 | فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ
| | | Faonthur kayfa kana AAaqibatu almunthareena
| | Then see what was the end of those who were admonished (but heeded not),
|
| | 37:74 | إِلا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
| | | Illa AAibada Allahi almukhlaseena
| | Except the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah
|
| | 37:75 | وَلَقَدْ نَادَانَا نُوحٌ فَلَنِعْمَ الْمُجِيبُونَ
| | | Walaqad nadana noohun falaniAAma almujeeboona
| | (In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer
|
| | 37:76 | وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ مِنَ الْكَرْبِ الْعَظِيمِ
| | | Wanajjaynahu waahlahu mina alkarbi alAAatheemi
| | And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity
|
| | 37:77 | وَجَعَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُ هُمُ الْبَاقِينَ
| | | WajaAAalna thurriyyatahu humu albaqeena
| | And made his progeny to endure (on this earth)
|
| | 37:78 | وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي الآخِرِينَ
| | | Watarakna AAalayhi fee al-akhireena
| | And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times
|
| | 37:79 | سَلامٌ عَلَى نُوحٍ فِي الْعَالَمِينَ
| | | Salamun AAala noohin fee alAAalameena
| | "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!"
|
| | 37:80 | إِنَّا كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
| | | Inna kathalika najzee almuhsineena
| | Thus indeed do we reward those who do right
|
| | 37:81 | إِنَّهُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
| | | Innahu min AAibadina almu/mineena
| | For he was one of our believing Servants
|
| | 37:82 | ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا الآخَرِينَ
| | | Thumma aghraqna al-akhareena
| | Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood
|
| | 37:83 | وَإِنَّ مِنْ شِيعَتِهِ لإبْرَاهِيمَ
| | | Wa-inna min sheeAAatihi la-ibraheema
| | Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham
|
| | 37:84 | إِذْ جَاءَ رَبَّهُ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ
| | | Ith jaa rabbahu biqalbin saleemin
| | Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart
|
| | 37:85 | إِذْ قَالَ لأبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ مَاذَا تَعْبُدُونَ
| | | Ith qala li-abeehi waqawmihi matha taAAbudoona
| | Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship
|
| | 37:86 | أَئِفْكًا آلِهَةً دُونَ اللَّهِ تُرِيدُونَ
| | | A-ifkan alihatan doona Allahi tureedoona
| | "Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah- that ye desire
|
| | 37:87 | فَمَا ظَنُّكُمْ بِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
| | | Fama thannukum birabbi alAAalameena
| | "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?"
|
| | 37:88 | فَنَظَرَ نَظْرَةً فِي النُّجُومِ
| | | Fanathara nathratan fee alnnujoomi
| | Then did he cast a glance at the Stars
|
| | 37:89 | فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَقِيمٌ
| | | Faqala innee saqeemun
| | And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!"
|
| | 37:90 | فَتَوَلَّوْا عَنْهُ مُدْبِرِينَ
| | | Fatawallaw AAanhu mudbireena
| | So they turned away from him, and departed
|
| | 37:91 | فَرَاغَ إِلَى آلِهَتِهِمْ فَقَالَ أَلا تَأْكُلُونَ
| | | Faragha ila alihatihim faqala ala ta/kuloona
| | Then did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?..
|
| | 37:92 | مَا لَكُمْ لا تَنْطِقُونَ
| | | Ma lakum la tantiqoona
| | "What is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)?"
|
| | 37:93 | فَرَاغَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضَرْبًا بِالْيَمِينِ
| | | Faragha AAalayhim darban bialyameeni
| | Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand
|
| | 37:94 | فَأَقْبَلُوا إِلَيْهِ يَزِفُّونَ
| | | Faaqbaloo ilayhi yaziffoona
| | Then came (the worshippers) with hurried steps, and faced (him)
|
| | 37:95 | قَالَ أَتَعْبُدُونَ مَا تَنْحِتُونَ
| | | Qala ataAAbudoona ma tanhitoona
| | He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved
|
| | 37:96 | وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ وَمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
| | | WaAllahu khalaqakum wama taAAmaloona
| | "But Allah has created you and your handwork!"
|
| | 37:97 | قَالُوا ابْنُوا لَهُ بُنْيَانًا فَأَلْقُوهُ فِي الْجَحِيمِ
| | | Qaloo ibnoo lahu bunyanan faalqoohu fee aljaheemi
| | They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!"
|
| | 37:98 | فَأَرَادُوا بِهِ كَيْدًا فَجَعَلْنَاهُمُ الأسْفَلِينَ
| | | Faaradoo bihi kaydan fajaAAalnahumu al-asfaleena
| | (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated
|
| | 37:99 | وَقَالَ إِنِّي ذَاهِبٌ إِلَى رَبِّي سَيَهْدِينِ
| | | Waqala innee thahibun ila rabbee sayahdeeni
| | He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me
|
| | 37:100 | رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
| | | Rabbi hab lee mina alssaliheena
| | "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!"
|
| | 37:101 | فَبَشَّرْنَاهُ بِغُلامٍ حَلِيمٍ
| | | Fabashsharnahu bighulamin haleemin
| | So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear
|
| | 37:102 | فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ السَّعْيَ قَالَ يَا بُنَيَّ إِنِّي أَرَى فِي الْمَنَامِ أَنِّي أَذْبَحُكَ فَانْظُرْ مَاذَا تَرَى قَالَ يَا أَبَتِ افْعَلْ مَا تُؤْمَرُ سَتَجِدُنِي إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ مِنَ الصَّابِرِينَ
| | | Falamma balagha maAAahu alssaAAya qala ya bunayya innee ara fee almanami annee athbahuka faonthur matha tara qala ya abati ifAAal ma tu/maru satajidunee in shaa Allahu mina alssabireena
| | Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!"

| | 37:103 | فَلَمَّا أَسْلَمَا وَتَلَّهُ لِلْجَبِينِ
| | | Falamma aslama watallahu liljabeeni
| | So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice)
|
| | 37:104 | وَنَادَيْنَاهُ أَنْ يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ
| | | Wanadaynahu an ya ibraheemu
| | We called out to him "O Abraham
|
| | 37:105 | قَدْ صَدَّقْتَ الرُّؤْيَا إِنَّا كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
| | | Qad saddaqta alrru/ya inna kathalika najzee almuhsineena
| | "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right
|
| | 37:106 | إِنَّ هَذَا لَهُوَ الْبَلاءُ الْمُبِينُ
| | | Inna hatha lahuwa albalao almubeenu
| | For this was obviously a trial
|
| | 37:107 | وَفَدَيْنَاهُ بِذِبْحٍ عَظِيمٍ
| | | Wafadaynahu bithibhin AAatheemin
| | And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice
|
| | 37:108 | وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي الآخِرِينَ
| | | Watarakna AAalayhi fee al-akhireena
| | And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times
|
| | 37:109 | سَلامٌ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ
| | | Salamun AAala ibraheema
| | "Peace and salutation to Abraham!"
|
| | 37:110 | كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
| | | Kathalika najzee almuhsineena
| | Thus indeed do We reward those who do right
|
| | 37:111 | إِنَّهُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
| | | Innahu min AAibadina almu/mineena
| | For he was one of our believing Servants
|
| | 37:112 | وَبَشَّرْنَاهُ بِإِسْحَاقَ نَبِيًّا مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
| | | Wabashsharnahu bi-ishaqa nabiyyan mina alssaliheena
| | And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous
|
| | 37:113 | وَبَارَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَى إِسْحَاقَ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحْسِنٌ وَظَالِمٌ لِنَفْسِهِ مُبِينٌ
| | | Wabarakna AAalayhi waAAala ishaqa wamin thurriyyatihima muhsinun wathalimun linafsihi mubeenun
| | We blessed him and Isaac: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls
|
| | 37:114 | وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَى مُوسَى وَهَارُونَ
| | | Walaqad mananna AAala moosa waharoona
| | Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron
|
| | 37:115 | وَنَجَّيْنَاهُمَا وَقَوْمَهُمَا مِنَ الْكَرْبِ الْعَظِيمِ
| | | Wanajjaynahuma waqawmahuma mina alkarbi alAAatheemi
| | And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity
|
| | 37:116 | وَنَصَرْنَاهُمْ فَكَانُوا هُمُ الْغَالِبِينَ
| | | Wanasarnahum fakanoo humu alghalibeena
| | And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles)
|
| | 37:117 | وَآتَيْنَاهُمَا الْكِتَابَ الْمُسْتَبِينَ
| | | Waataynahuma alkitaba almustabeena
| | And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear
|
| | 37:118 | وَهَدَيْنَاهُمَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ
| | | Wahadaynahuma alssirata almustaqeema
| | And We guided them to the Straight Way
|
| | 37:119 | وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِمَا فِي الآخِرِينَ
| | | Watarakna AAalayhima fee al-akhireena
| | And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times
|
| | 37:120 | سَلامٌ عَلَى مُوسَى وَهَارُونَ
| | | Salamun AAala moosa waharoona
| | "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!"
|
| | 37:121 | إِنَّا كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
| | | Inna kathalika najzee almuhsineena
| | Thus indeed do We reward those who do right
|
| | 37:122 | إِنَّهُمَا مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
| | | Innahuma min AAibadina almu/mineena
| | For they were two of our believing Servants
|
| | 37:123 | وَإِنَّ إِلْيَاسَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
| | | Wa-inna ilyasa lamina almursaleena
| | So also was Elias among those sent (by Us)
|
| | 37:124 | إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ أَلا تَتَّقُونَ
| | | Ith qala liqawmihi ala tattaqoona
| | Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)
|
| | 37:125 | أَتَدْعُونَ بَعْلا وَتَذَرُونَ أَحْسَنَ الْخَالِقِينَ
| | | AtadAAoona baAAlan watatharoona ahsana alkhaliqeena
| | "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,
|
| | 37:126 | اللَّهَ رَبَّكُمْ وَرَبَّ آبَائِكُمُ الأوَّلِينَ
| | | Allaha rabbakum warabba aba-ikumu al-awwaleena
| | "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?"
|
| | 37:127 | فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ
| | | Fakaththaboohu fa-innahum lamuhdaroona
| | But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),
|
| | 37:128 | إِلا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
| | | Illa AAibada Allahi almukhlaseena
| | Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them)
|
| | 37:129 | وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي الآخِرِينَ
| | | Watarakna AAalayhi fee al-akhireena
| | And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times
|
| | 37:130 | سَلامٌ عَلَى إِلْ يَاسِينَ
| | | Salamun AAala il yaseena
| | "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!"
|
| | 37:131 | إِنَّا كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
| | | Inna kathalika najzee almuhsineena
| | Thus indeed do We reward those who do right
|
| | 37:132 | إِنَّهُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
| | | Innahu min AAibadina almu/mineena
| | For he was one of our believing Servants
|
