Ad-Dukhan [Smoke ]
| | | Waalkitabi almubeeni
| | By the Book that makes things clear;-
|
| | | Inna anzalnahu fee laylatin mubarakatin inna kunna munthireena
| | We sent it down during a Blessed Night: for We (ever) wish to warn (against Evil).
|
| | | Feeha yufraqu kullu amrin hakeemin
| | In the (Night) is made distinct every affair of wisdom,
|
| | | Amran min AAindina inna kunna mursileena
| | By command, from Our Presence. For We (ever) send (revelations),
|
| | | Rahmatan min rabbika innahu huwa alssameeAAu alAAaleemu
| | As Mercy from thy Lord: for He hears and knows (all things);
|
| | | Rabbi alssamawati waal-ardi wama baynahuma in kuntum mooqineena
| | The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all between them, if ye (but) have an assured faith.
|
| | | La ilaha illa huwa yuhyee wayumeetu rabbukum warabbu aba-ikumu al-awwaleena
| | There is no god but He: It is He Who gives life and gives death,- The Lord and Cherisher to you and your earliest ancestors.
|
| | | Bal hum fee shakkin yalAAaboona
| | Yet they play about in doubt.
|
| | | Fairtaqib yawma ta/tee alssamao bidukhanin mubeenin
| | Then watch thou for the Day that the sky will bring forth a kind of smoke (or mist) plainly visible,
|
| | | Yaghsha alnnasa hatha AAathabun aleemun
| | Enveloping the people: this will be a Penalty Grievous.
|
| | | Rabbana ikshif AAanna alAAathaba inna mu/minoona
| | (They will say:) "Our Lord! remove the Penalty from us, for we do really believe!"
|
| | | Anna lahumu alththikra waqad jaahum rasoolun mubeenun
| | How shall the message be (effectual) for them, seeing that an Messenger explaining things clearly has (already) come to them,-
|
| | | Thumma tawallaw AAanhu waqaloo muAAallamun majnoonun
| | Yet they turn away from him and say: "Tutored (by others), a man possessed!"
|
| | | Inna kashifoo alAAathabi qaleelan innakum AAa-idoona
| | We shall indeed remove the Penalty for a while, (but) truly ye will revert (to your ways).
|
| | | Yawma nabtishu albatshata alkubra inna muntaqimoona
| | One day We shall seize you with a mighty onslaught: We will indeed (then) exact Retribution!
|
| | | Walaqad fatanna qablahum qawma firAAawna wajaahum rasoolun kareemun
| | We did, before them, try the people of Pharaoh: there came to them a messenger most honourable,
|
| | | An addoo ilayya AAibada Allahi innee lakum rasoolun ameenun
| | Saying: "Restore to me the Servants of Allah: I am to you an messenger worthy of all trust;
|
| | | Waan la taAAloo AAala Allahi innee ateekum bisultanin mubeenin
| | "And be not arrogant as against Allah: for I come to you with authority manifest.
|
| | | Wa-innee AAuthtu birabbee warabbikum an tarjumooni
| | "For me, I have sought safety with my Lord and your Lord, against your injuring me.
|
| | | Wa-in lam tu/minoo lee faiAAtazilooni
| | "If ye believe me not, at least keep yourselves away from me."
|
| | | FadaAAa rabbahu anna haola-i qawmun mujrimoona
| | (But they were aggressive:) then he cried to his Lord: "These are indeed a people given to sin."
|
| | | Faasri biAAibadee laylan innakum muttabaAAoona
| | (The reply came:) "March forth with My Servants by night: for ye are sure to be pursued.
|
| | | Waotruki albahra rahwan innahum jundun mughraqoona
| | "And leave the sea as a furrow (divided): for they are a host (destined) to be drowned."
|
| | | Kam tarakoo min jannatin waAAuyoonin
| | How many were the gardens and springs they left behind,
|
| | | WazurooAAin wamaqamin kareemin
| | And corn-fields and noble buildings,
|
| | | WanaAAmatin kanoo feeha fakiheena
| | And wealth (and conveniences of life), wherein they had taken such delight!
|
| | | Kathalika waawrathnaha qawman akhareena
| | Thus (was their end)! And We made other people inherit (those things)!
|
| | | Fama bakat AAalayhimu alssamao waal-ardu wama kanoo munthareena
| | And neither heaven nor earth shed a tear over them: nor were they given a respite (again).
|
| | | Walaqad najjayna banee isra-eela mina alAAathabi almuheeni
| | We did deliver aforetime the Children of Israel from humiliating Punishment,
|
| | | Min firAAawna innahu kana AAaliyan mina almusrifeena
| | Inflicted by Pharaoh, for he was arrogant (even) among inordinate transgressors.
|
| | | Walaqadi ikhtarnahum AAala AAilmin AAala alAAalameena
| | And We chose them aforetime above the nations, knowingly,
|
| | | Waataynahum mina al-ayati ma feehi balaon mubeenun
| | And granted them Signs in which there was a manifest trial
|
| | | Inna haola-i layaqooloona
| | As to these (Quraish), they say forsooth:
|
| | | In hiya illa mawtatuna al-oola wama nahnu bimunshareena
| | "There is nothing beyond our first death, and we shall not be raised again.
|
| | | Fa/too bi-aba-ina in kuntum sadiqeena
| | "Then bring (back) our forefathers, if what ye say is true!"
|
| | | Ahum khayrun am qawmu tubbaAAin waallatheena min qablihim ahlaknahum innahum kanoo mujrimeena
| | What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin.
|
| | | Wama khalaqna alssamawati waal-arda wama baynahuma laAAibeena
| | We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, merely in (idle) sport:
|
| | We created them not except for just ends: but most of them do not understand.
|
| | | Inna yawma alfasli meeqatuhum ajmaAAeena
| | Verily the Day of sorting out is the time appointed for all of them,-
|
| | | Yawma la yughnee mawlan AAan mawlan shay-an wala hum yunsaroona
| | The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught, and no help can they receive,
|
| | | Illa man rahima Allahu innahu huwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu
| | Except such as receive Allah's Mercy: for He is Exalted in Might, Most Merciful.
|
| | | Inna shajarata alzzaqqoomi
| | Verily the tree of Zaqqum
|
| | | TaAAamu al-atheemi
| | Will be the food of the Sinful,-
|
| | | Kaalmuhli yaghlee fee albutooni
| | Like molten brass; it will boil in their insides.
|
| | | Kaghalyi alhameemi
| | Like the boiling of scalding water.
|
| | | Khuthoohu faiAAtiloohu ila sawa-i aljaheemi
| | (A voice will cry: "Seize ye him and drag him into the midst of the Blazing Fire!
|
| | | Thumma subboo fawqa ra/sihi min AAathabi alhameemi
| | "Then pour over his head the Penalty of Boiling Water,
|
| | | Thuq innaka anta alAAazeezu alkareemu
| | "Taste thou (this)! Truly wast thou mighty, full of honour!
|
| | | Inna hatha ma kuntum bihi tamtaroona
| | "Truly this is what ye used to doubt!"
|
| | | Inna almuttaqeena fee maqamin ameenin
| | As to the Righteous (they will be) in a position of Security,
|
| | | Fee jannatin waAAuyoonin
| | Among Gardens and Springs;
|
| | | Yalbasoona min sundusin wa-istabraqin mutaqabileena
| | Dressed in fine silk and in rich brocade, they will face each other;
|
| | | Kathalika wazawwajnahum bihoorin AAeenin
| | So; and We shall join them to fair women with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes.
|
| | | YadAAoona feeha bikulli fakihatin amineena
| | There can they call for every kind of fruit in peace and security;
|
| | | La yathooqoona feeha almawta illa almawtata al-oola wawaqahum AAathaba aljaheemi
| | Nor will they there taste Death, except the first death; and He will preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire,-
|
| | | Fadlan min rabbika thalika huwa alfawzu alAAatheemu
| | As a Bounty from thy Lord! that will be the supreme achievement!
|
| | | Fa-innama yassarnahu bilisanika laAAallahum yatathakkaroona
| | Verily, We have made this (Qur'an) easy, in thy tongue, in order that they may give heed.
|
| | | Fairtaqib innahum murtaqiboona
| | So wait thou and watch; for they (too) are waiting.
