Adh-Dhariyat [The winnowing winds ]
| | | Waalththariyati tharwan
| | By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast;
|
| | | Faalhamilati wiqran
| | And those that lift and bear away heavy weights;
|
| | | Faaljariyati yusran
| | And those that flow with ease and gentleness;
|
| | | Faalmuqassimati amran
| | And those that distribute and apportion by Command;-
|
| | | Innama tooAAadoona lasadiqun
| | Verily that which ye are promised is true;
|
| | | Wa-inna alddeena lawaqiAAun
| | And verily Judgment and Justice must indeed come to pass.
|
| | | Waalssama-i thati alhubuki
| | By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths,
|
| | | Innakum lafee qawlin mukhtalifin
| | Truly ye are in a doctrine discordant,
|
| | | Yu/faku AAanhu man ofika
| | Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded.
|
| | | Qutila alkharrasoona
| | Woe to the falsehood-mongers,-
|
| | | Allatheena hum fee ghamratin sahoona
| | Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion:
|
| | | Yas-aloona ayyana yawmu alddeeni
| | They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?"
|
| | | Yawma hum AAala alnnari yuftanoona
| | (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire!
|
| | | Thooqoo fitnatakum hatha allathee kuntum bihi tastaAAjiloona
| | "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!"
|
| | | Inna almuttaqeena fee jannatin waAAuyoonin
| | As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs,
|
| | | Akhitheena ma atahum rabbuhum innahum kanoo qabla thalika muhsineena
| | Taking joy in the things which their Lord gives them, because, before then, they lived a good life.
|
| | | Kanoo qaleelan mina allayli ma yahjaAAoona
| | They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night,
|
| | | Wabial-ashari hum yastaghfiroona
| | And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness;
|
| | | Wafee amwalihim haqqun lilssa-ili waalmahroomi
| | And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking).
|
| | | Wafee al-ardi ayatun lilmooqineena
| | On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith,
|
| | | Wafee anfusikum afala tubsiroona
| | As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see?
|
| | | Wafee alssama-i rizqukum wama tooAAadoona
| | And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised.
|
| | | Fawarabbi alssama-i waal-ardi innahu lahaqqun mithla ma annakum tantiqoona
| | Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other.
|
| | | Hal ataka hadeethu dayfi ibraheema almukrameena
| | Has the story reached thee, of the honoured guests of Abraham?
|
| | | Ith dakhaloo AAalayhi faqaloo salaman qala salamun qawmun munkaroona
| | Behold, they entered his presence, and said: "Peace!" He said, "Peace!" (and thought, "These seem) unusual people."
|
| | | Faragha ila ahlihi fajaa biAAijlin sameenin
| | Then he turned quickly to his household, brought out a fatted calf,
|
| | | Faqarrabahu ilayhim qala ala ta/kuloona
| | And placed it before them.. he said, "Will ye not eat?"
|
| | | Faawjasa minhum kheefatan qaloo la takhaf wabashsharoohu bighulamin AAaleemin
| | (When they did not eat), He conceived a fear of them. They said, "Fear not," and they gave him glad tidings of a son endowed with knowledge.
|
| | | Faaqbalati imraatuhu fee sarratin fasakkat wajhaha waqalat AAajoozun AAaqeemun
| | But his wife came forward (laughing) aloud: she smote her forehead and said: "A barren old woman!"
|
| | | Qaloo kathaliki qala rabbuki innahu huwa alhakeemu alAAaleemu
| | They said, "Even so has thy Lord spoken: and He is full of Wisdom and Knowledge."
|
| | | Qala fama khatbukum ayyuha almursaloona
| | (Abraham) said: "And what, O ye Messengers, is your errand (now)?"
|
| | | Qaloo inna orsilna ila qawmin mujrimeena
| | They said, "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin;-
|
| | | Linursila AAalayhim hijaratan min teenin
| | "To bring on, on them, (a shower of) stones of clay (brimstone),
|
| | | Musawwamatan AAinda rabbika lilmusrifeena
| | "Marked as from thy Lord for those who trespass beyond bounds."
|
| | | Faakhrajna man kana feeha mina almu/mineena
| | Then We evacuated those of the Believers who were there,
|
| | | Fama wajadna feeha ghayra baytin mina almuslimeena
| | But We found not there any just (Muslim) persons except in one house:
|
| | | Watarakna feeha ayatan lillatheena yakhafoona alAAathaba al-aleema
| | And We left there a Sign for such as fear the Grievous Penalty.
|
| | | Wafee moosa ith arsalnahu ila firAAawna bisultanin mubeenin
| | And in Moses (was another Sign): Behold, We sent him to Pharaoh, with authority manifest.
|
| | | Fatawalla biruknihi waqala sahirun aw majnoonun
| | But (Pharaoh) turned back with his Chiefs, and said, "A sorcerer, or one possessed!"
|
| | | Faakhathnahu wajunoodahu fanabathnahum fee alyammi wahuwa muleemun
| | So We took him and his forces, and threw them into the sea; and his was the blame.
|
| | | Wafee AAadin ith arsalna AAalayhimu alrreeha alAAaqeema
| | And in the 'Ad (people) (was another Sign): Behold, We sent against them the devastating Wind:
|
| | | Ma tatharu min shay-in atat AAalayhi illa jaAAalat-hu kaalrrameemi
| | It left nothing whatever that it came up against, but reduced it to ruin and rottenness.
|
| | | Wafee thamooda ith qeela lahum tamattaAAoo hatta heenin
| | And in the Thamud (was another Sign): Behold, they were told, "Enjoy (your brief day) for a little while!"
|
| | | FaAAataw AAan amri rabbihim faakhathat-humu alssaAAiqatu wahum yanthuroona
| | But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord: So the stunning noise (of an earthquake) seized them, even while they were looking on.
|
| | | Fama istataAAoo min qiyamin wama kanoo muntasireena
| | Then they could not even stand (on their feet), nor could they help themselves.
|
| | | Waqawma noohin min qablu innahum kanoo qawman fasiqeena
| | So were the People of Noah before them for they wickedly transgressed.
|
| | | Waalssamaa banaynaha bi-aydin wa-inna lamoosiAAoona
| | With power and skill did We construct the Firmament: for it is We Who create the vastness of Space.
|
| | | Waal-arda farashnaha faniAAma almahidoona
| | And We have spread out the (spacious) earth: How excellently We do spread out!
|
| | | Wamin kulli shay-in khalaqna zawjayni laAAallakum tathakkaroona
| | And of every thing We have created pairs: That ye may receive instruction.
|
| | | Fafirroo ila Allahi innee lakum minhu natheerun mubeenun
| | Hasten ye then (at once) to Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open!
|
| | | Wala tajAAaloo maAAa Allahi ilahan akhara innee lakum minhu natheerun mubeenun
| | And make not another an object of worship with Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open!
|
| | | Kathalika ma ata allatheena min qablihim min rasoolin illa qaloo sahirun aw majnoonun
| | Similarly, no messenger came to the Peoples before them, but they said (of him) in like manner, "A sorcerer, or one possessed"!
|
| | | Atawasaw bihi bal hum qawmun taghoona
| | Is this the legacy they have transmitted, one to another? Nay, they are themselves a people transgressing beyond bounds!
|
| | | Fatawalla AAanhum fama anta bimaloomin
| | So turn away from them: not thine is the blame.
|
| | | Wathakkir fa-inna alththikra tanfaAAu almu/mineena
| | But teach (thy Message) for teaching benefits the Believers.
|
| | | Wama khalaqtu aljinna waal-insa illa liyaAAbudooni
| | I have only created Jinns and men, that they may serve Me.
|
| | | Ma oreedu minhum min rizqin wama oreedu an yutAAimooni
| | No Sustenance do I require of them, nor do I require that they should feed Me.
|
| | | Inna Allaha huwa alrrazzaqu thoo alquwwati almateenu
| | For Allah is He Who gives (all) Sustenance,- Lord of Power,- Steadfast (for ever).
|
| | | Fa-inna lillatheena thalamoo thanooban mithla thanoobi as-habihim fala yastaAAjiloona
| | For the Wrong-doers, their portion is like unto the portion of their fellows (of earlier generations): then let them not ask Me to hasten (that portion)!
|
| | | Fawaylun lillatheena kafaroo min yawmihimu allathee yooAAadoona
| | Woe, then, to the Unbelievers, on account of that Day of theirs which they have been promised!
