Al-Haaqqa [The reality ]
| | | Alhaqqatu
| | The Sure Reality!
|
| | | Ma alhaqqatu
| | What is the Sure Reality?
|
| | | Wama adraka ma alhaqqatu
| | And what will make thee realise what the Sure Reality is?
|
| | | Kaththabat thamoodu waAAadun bialqariAAati
| | The Thamud and the 'Ad People (branded) as false the Stunning Calamity!
|
| | | Faamma thamoodu faohlikoo bialttaghiyati
| | But the Thamud,- they were destroyed by a terrible Storm of thunder and lightning!
|
| | | Waamma AAadun faohlikoo bireehin sarsarin AAatiyatin
| | And the 'Ad, they were destroyed by a furious Wind, exceedingly violent;
|
| | | Sakhkharaha AAalayhim sabAAa layalin wathamaniyata ayyamin husooman fatara alqawma feeha sarAAa kaannahum aAAjazu nakhlin khawiyatun
| | He made it rage against them seven nights and eight days in succession: so that thou couldst see the (whole) people lying prostrate in its (path), as they had been roots of hollow palm-trees tumbled down!
|
| | | Fahal tara lahum min baqiyatin
| | Then seest thou any of them left surviving?
|
| | | Wajaa firAAawnu waman qablahu waalmu/tafikatu bialkhati-ati
| | And Pharaoh, and those before him, and the Cities Overthrown, committed habitual Sin.
|
| | | FaAAasaw rasoola rabbihim faakhathahum akhthatan rabiyatan
| | And disobeyed (each) the messenger of their Lord; so He punished them with an abundant Penalty.
|
| | | Inna lamma tagha almao hamalnakum fee aljariyati
| | We, when the water (of Noah's Flood) overflowed beyond its limits, carried you (mankind), in the floating (Ark),
|
| | | LinajAAalaha lakum tathkiratan wataAAiyaha othunun waAAiyatun
| | That We might make it a Message unto you, and that ears (that should hear the tale and) retain its memory should bear its (lessons) in remembrance.
|
| | | Fa-itha nufikha fee alssoori nafkhatun wahidatun
| | Then, when one blast is sounded on the Trumpet,
|
| | | Wahumilati al-ardu waaljibalu fadukkata dakkatan wahidatan
| | And the earth is moved, and its mountains, and they are crushed to powder at one stroke,-
|
| | | Fayawma-ithin waqaAAati alwaqiAAatu
| | On that Day shall the (Great) Event come to pass.
|
| | | Wainshaqqati alssamao fahiya yawma-ithin wahiyatun
| | And the sky will be rent asunder, for it will that Day be flimsy,
|
| | | Waalmalaku AAala arja-iha wayahmilu AAarsha rabbika fawqahum yawma-ithin thamaniyatun
| | And the angels will be on its sides, and eight will, that Day, bear the Throne of thy Lord above them.
|
| | | Yawma-ithin tuAAradoona la takhfa minkum khafiyatun
| | That Day shall ye be brought to Judgment: not an act of yours that ye hide will be hidden.
|
| | | Faamma man ootiya kitabahu biyameenihi fayaqoolu haomu iqraoo kitabiyah
| | Then he that will be given his Record in his right hand will say: "Ah here! Read ye my Record!
|
| | | Innee thanantu annee mulaqin hisabiyah
| | "I did really understand that my Account would (One Day) reach me!"
|
| | | Fahuwa fee AAeeshatin radiyatin
| | And he will be in a life of Bliss,
|
| | | Fee jannatin AAaliyatin
| | In a Garden on high,</TD></TR></TABLE></TD></TR></TABLE><FONT SIZE=2>Al-Qur'an, 069.022 (Al-Haaqqa [The Reality]) <BR>Text Copied from <A HREF="http://www.Divine

| | | Qutoofuha daniyatun
| | The Fruits whereof (will hang in bunches) low and near.
|
| | | Kuloo waishraboo hanee-an bima aslaftum fee al-ayyami alkhaliyati
| | "Eat ye and drink ye, with full satisfaction; because of the (good) that ye sent before you, in the days that are gone!"
|
| | | Waamma man ootiya kitabahu bishimalihi fayaqoolu ya laytanee lam oota kitabiyah
| | And he that will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "Ah! Would that my Record had not been given to me!
|
| | | Walam adri ma hisabiyah
| | "And that I had never realised how my account (stood)!
|
| | | Ya laytaha kanati alqadiyatu
| | "Ah! Would that (Death) had made an end of me!
|
| | | Ma aghna AAannee maliyah
| | "Of no profit to me has been my wealth!
|
| | | Halaka AAannee sultaniyah
| | "My power has perished from me!"...
|
| | | Khuthoohu faghulloohu
| | (The stern command will say): "Seize ye him, and bind ye him,
|
| | | Thumma aljaheema salloohu
| | "And burn ye him in the Blazing Fire.
|
| | | Thumma fee silsilatin tharAAuha sabAAoona thiraAAan faoslukoohu
| | "Further, make him march in a chain, whereof the length is seventy cubits!
|
| | | Innahu kana la yu/minu biAllahi alAAatheemi
| | "This was he that would not believe in Allah Most High.
|
| | | Wala yahuddu AAala taAAami almiskeeni
| | "And would not encourage the feeding of the indigent!
|
| | | Falaysa lahu alyawma hahuna hameemun
| | "So no friend hath he here this Day.
|
| | | Wala taAAamun illa min ghisleenin
| | "Nor hath he any food except the corruption from the washing of wounds,
|
| | | La ya/kuluhu illa alkhati-oona
| | "Which none do eat but those in sin."
|
| | | Fala oqsimu bima tubsiroona
| | So I do call to witness what ye see,
|
| | | Wama la tubsiroona
| | And what ye see not,
|
| | | Innahu laqawlu rasoolin kareemin
| | That this is verily the word of an honoured messenger;
|
| | | Wama huwa biqawli shaAAirin qaleelan ma tu/minoona
| | It is not the word of a poet: little it is ye believe!
|
| | | Wala biqawli kahinin qaleelan ma tathakkaroona
| | Nor is it the word of a soothsayer: little admonition it is ye receive.
|
| | | Tanzeelun min rabbi alAAalameena
| | (This is) a Message sent down from the Lord of the Worlds.
|
| | | Walaw taqawwala AAalayna baAAda al-aqaweeli
| | And if the messenger were to invent any sayings in Our name,
|
| | | Laakhathna minhu bialyameeni
| | We should certainly seize him by his right hand,
|
| | | Thumma laqataAAna minhu alwateena
| | And We should certainly then cut off the artery of his heart:
|
| | | Fama minkum min ahadin AAanhu hajizeena
| | Nor could any of you withhold him (from Our wrath).
|
| | | Wa-innahu latathkiratun lilmuttaqeena
| | But verily this is a Message for the Allah-fearing.
|
| | | Wa-inna lanaAAlamu anna minkum mukaththibeena
| | And We certainly know that there are amongst you those that reject (it).
|
| | | Wa-innahu lahasratun AAala alkafireena
| | But truly (Revelation) is a cause of sorrow for the Unbelievers.
|
| | | Wa-innahu lahaqqu alyaqeeni
| | But verily it is Truth of assured certainty.
|
| | | Fasabbih biismi rabbika alAAatheemi
| | So glorify the name of thy Lord Most High.
