Al-Mutaffifin [Defrauding,The cheats ]
| | 83:1 | وَيْلٌ لِلْمُطَفِّفِينَ
| | | Waylun lilmutaffifeena
| | Woe to those that deal in fraud,-
|
| | 83:2 | الَّذِينَ إِذَا اكْتَالُوا عَلَى النَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ
| | | Allatheena itha iktaloo AAala alnnasi yastawfoona
| | Those who, when they have to receive by measure from men, exact full measure,
|
| | 83:3 | وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَوْ وَزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ
| | | Wa-itha kaloohum aw wazanoohum yukhsiroona
| | But when they have to give by measure or weight to men, give less than due.
|
| | 83:4 | أَلا يَظُنُّ أُولَئِكَ أَنَّهُمْ مَبْعُوثُونَ
| | | Ala yathunnu ola-ika annahum mabAAoothoona
| | Do they not think that they will be called to account?-
|
| | 83:5 | لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
| | | Liyawmin AAatheemin
| | On a Mighty Day,
|
| | 83:6 | يَوْمَ يَقُومُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
| | | Yawma yaqoomu alnnasu lirabbi alAAalameena
| | A Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the Worlds?
|
| | 83:7 | كَلا إِنَّ كِتَابَ الْفُجَّارِ لَفِي سِجِّينٍ
| | | Kalla inna kitaba alfujjari lafee sijjeenin
| | Nay! Surely the record of the wicked is (preserved) in Sijjin.
|
| | 83:8 | وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا سِجِّينٌ
| | | Wama adraka ma sijjeenun
| | And what will explain to thee what Sijjin is?
|
| | 83:9 | كِتَابٌ مَرْقُومٌ
| | | Kitabun marqoomun
| | (There is) a Register (fully) inscribed.
|
| | 83:10 | وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
| | | Waylun yawma-ithin lilmukaththibeena
| | Woe, that Day, to those that deny-
|
| | 83:11 | الَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ
| | | Allatheena yukaththiboona biyawmi alddeeni
| | Those that deny the Day of Judgment.
|
| | 83:12 | وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِ إِلا كُلُّ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ
| | | Wama yukaththibu bihi illa kullu muAAtadin atheemin
| | And none can deny it but the Transgressor beyond bounds the Sinner!
|
| | 83:13 | إِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِ آيَاتُنَا قَالَ أَسَاطِيرُ الأوَّلِينَ
| | | Itha tutla AAalayhi ayatuna qala asateeru al-awwaleena
| | When Our Signs are rehearsed to him, he says, "Tales of the ancients!"
|
| | 83:14 | كَلا بَلْ رَانَ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
| | | Kalla bal rana AAala quloobihim ma kanoo yaksiboona
| | By no means! but on their hearts is the stain of the (ill) which they do!
|
| | 83:15 | كَلا إِنَّهُمْ عَنْ رَبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَمَحْجُوبُونَ
| | | Kalla innahum AAan rabbihim yawma-ithin lamahjooboona
| | Verily, from (the Light of) their Lord, that Day, will they be veiled.
|
| | 83:16 | ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُو الْجَحِيمِ
| | | Thumma innahum lasaloo aljaheemi
| | Further, they will enter the Fire of Hell.
|
| | 83:17 | ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَذَا الَّذِي كُنْتُمْ بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ
| | | Thumma yuqalu hatha allathee kuntum bihi tukaththiboona
| | Further, it will be said to them: "This is the (reality) which ye rejected as false!
|
| | 83:18 | كَلا إِنَّ كِتَابَ الأبْرَارِ لَفِي عِلِّيِّينَ
| | | Kalla inna kitaba al-abrari lafee AAilliyyeena
| | Nay, verily the record of the Righteous is (preserved) in 'Illiyin.
|
| | 83:19 | وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَ
| | | Wama adraka ma AAilliyyoona
| | And what will explain to thee what 'Illiyun is?
|
| | 83:20 | كِتَابٌ مَرْقُومٌ
| | | Kitabun marqoomun
| | (There is) a Register (fully) inscribed,
|
| | 83:21 | يَشْهَدُهُ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ
| | | Yashhaduhu almuqarraboona
| | To which bear witness those Nearest (to Allah).
|
| | 83:22 | إِنَّ الأبْرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٍ
| | | Inna al-abrara lafee naAAeemin
| | Truly the Righteous will be in Bliss:
|
| | 83:23 | عَلَى الأرَائِكِ يَنْظُرُونَ
| | | AAala al-ara-iki yanthuroona
| | On Thrones (of Dignity) will they command a sight (of all things):
|
| | 83:24 | تَعْرِفُ فِي وُجُوهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ النَّعِيمِ
| | | TaAArifu fee wujoohihim nadrata alnnaAAeemi
| | Thou wilt recognise in their faces the beaming brightness of Bliss.
|
| | 83:25 | يُسْقَوْنَ مِنْ رَحِيقٍ مَخْتُومٍ
| | | Yusqawna min raheeqin makhtoomin
| | Their thirst will be slaked with Pure Wine sealed:
|
| | 83:26 | خِتَامُهُ مِسْكٌ وَفِي ذَلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ الْمُتَنَافِسُونَ
| | | Khitamuhu miskun wafee thalika falyatanafasi almutanafisoona
| | The seal thereof will be Musk: And for this let those aspire, who have aspirations:
|
| | 83:27 | وَمِزَاجُهُ مِنْ تَسْنِيمٍ
| | | Wamizajuhu min tasneemin
| | With it will be (given) a mixture of Tasnim:
|
| | 83:28 | عَيْنًا يَشْرَبُ بِهَا الْمُقَرَّبُونَ
| | | AAaynan yashrabu biha almuqarraboona
| | A spring, from (the waters) whereof drink those Nearest to Allah.
|
| | 83:29 | إِنَّ الَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا كَانُوا مِنَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يَضْحَكُونَ
| | | Inna allatheena ajramoo kanoo mina allatheena amanoo yadhakoona
| | Those in sin used to laugh at those who believed,
|
| | 83:30 | وَإِذَا مَرُّوا بِهِمْ يَتَغَامَزُونَ
| | | Wa-itha marroo bihim yataghamazoona
| | And whenever they passed by them, used to wink at each other (in mockery);
|
| | 83:31 | وَإِذَا انْقَلَبُوا إِلَى أَهْلِهِمُ انْقَلَبُوا فَكِهِينَ
| | | Wa-itha inqalaboo ila ahlihimu inqalaboo fakiheena
| | And when they returned to their own people, they would return jesting;
|
| | 83:32 | وَإِذَا رَأَوْهُمْ قَالُوا إِنَّ هَؤُلاءِ لَضَالُّونَ
| | | Wa-itha raawhum qaloo inna haola-i ladalloona
| | And whenever they saw them, they would say, "Behold! These are the people truly astray!"
|
| | 83:33 | وَمَا أُرْسِلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ حَافِظِينَ
| | | Wama orsiloo AAalayhim hafitheena
| | But they had not been sent as keepers over them!
|
| | 83:34 | فَالْيَوْمَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنَ الْكُفَّارِ يَضْحَكُونَ
| | | Faalyawma allatheena amanoo mina alkuffari yadhakoona
| | But on this Day the Believers will laugh at the Unbelievers:
|
| | 83:35 | عَلَى الأرَائِكِ يَنْظُرُونَ
| | | AAala al-ara-iki yanthuroona
| | On Thrones (of Dignity) they will command (a sight) (of all things).
|
| | 83:36 | هَلْ ثُوِّبَ الْكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُوا يَفْعَلُونَ
| | | Hal thuwwiba alkuffaru ma kanoo yafAAaloona
| | Will not the Unbelievers have been paid back for what they did?
